Exhibition & Public Art Walk
November 12 2020-Spring 2021

Look at this, I'm healing, is an exhibition created by Fordham Bedford neighbors in their homes during lockdown and shared with the community via a neighborhood art walk.

On route you will find billboard photography, crochet, mural paintings and sneaker art located on the exterior of our buildings, local bodegas, subway stations, sidewalks and more.

The artworks are created by residents of Concourse House, Home for Women and Their Children, Fordham Bedford Community Services and Fordham Bedford Housing Corporation in collaboration with Bronx-based artists C. G. Esperanza, Melanie Gonzalez, Lady K Fever, New York-based artist Naomi Lawrence and curator Jess Rolls.
To design your own walk, follow the virtual map listing all artworks or the printable map below.
About the Exhibition
The project was conceived in lockdown and inspired by the senior residents of Serviam Heights, Towers and Gardens' arts and crafts group. In the face of the pandemic, the seniors continued to make, exchange and care for each other with art.
We supported the seniors with arts materials drops, activity packs and mail art. Then expanded this approach to neighborhood families and youth with virtual art classes and outdoor programming.
The exhibition reveals the friendships of neighbors and gives space to young people's hopes for a secure and empowering future beyond the pandemic.

Look at this, I'm healing, launched on November 12, 2020 as part of our annual fundraiser event Art on the Concourse: A Virtual Block Party celebrating 40 years of Fordham Bedford in 2020.
