Art & Culture Census

Brooklyn Public Library

Art and Society Census is a collaborative project led by facilitators of different backgrounds ranging from educators, art curators, executives, and writers, that look to create events that provide stimulating conversations on art and its relevance to society through political, social, and economical means. This forum allows for an open and safe space for community members to provide constructive input on what they want to see from arts and culture.
Curator Jess Rolls and apprentice Ms. Thorburn partnered with their Encounters discussion group led by Fadwa Abbas to address issues of accessibility in art and culture institutions.
